At Manor Park Dental, the technology we use helps us provide patients with efficient dental care including digital and panoramic x-rays.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Manor Park Dental, we leverage technology to help plan effective treatments and make your dental appointments run more smoothly.
We can display digital scans and x-rays on the monitors in our treatment rooms to show you any issues in your mouth, and explain your treatment plan.
Our goal is to provide efficient dental care to our patients, and ensure they are fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us accomplish achieve that goal.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic x-ray film. They produce extremely detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye. Being able to view dental x-rays immediately means we have better data to make quicker diagnoses for patients, faster than we would with traditional film.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic x-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. For this x-ray, the imaging machine and film are outside of your mouth. The resulting image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic x-rays are often used to help plan treatments for extractions and implants, and to show bone abnormalities and fractures.
